I just went with my daughter, one of my best friends and her daughter to Orlando for the weekend. We went to the Princess and Pirates Party at Magic Kingdom Friday night and then to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot on Saturday. Since we only stayed over one night, we just opted for a room at the Pop Century resort.

In the past, when I have gone to Orlando for a longer stay, I look for an Orlando vacation home. That is an actual home that is owned by an individual that you can rent for a week or longer. The last time I went, my family and I stayed in a 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom pool home with a living room, dinging room, family room, 60” television, cable, wireless internet, a fully stocked kitchen, and a washer and dryer. We paid about $100 a night. What a massive bargain.

I think staying in an individually owned home or villa is more comfortable. You generally get a better price than a hotel and stay within a few miles of most attractions. Take it from someone who both lives and vacations in Florida. This is the best way to go when visiting Orlando.
