The iPhone is Still Hot
I have to admit that I was skeptical as to how long Apple’s iPhone would remain a hot item after the initial product launch. The frenzy we all saw on the day the phones went on sale was so insane that I was sure the enthusiasm would just naturally implode. It seems like that sort of momentum would be close to impossible to maintain. I guess I was wrong. Not only do I see more and more iPhones being used by characters in movies and TV shows, I am seeing them out on the street as well. It’s all about the touch screen, as far as I can tell.
Pure Mobile offers unlocked cell phones and their site says they have an unlocked iPhone coming soon. That’s an exciting prospect. I have a pretty old phone and for the most part I just use it to make and receive calls. I’ve wanted a touch phone for a while now, though. The HTC Touch phones are slick looking and have the best reputation around. As much as I hate the idea of Windows taking over the world, these phones have it going on. As far as interface, I am most drawn to the HTC phones.
Of course, if I want to go with a touch screen with real style. The LG cell phone designed in partnership with Prada is a cool option. The KE850 is one of the sleekest phones I have ever seen, and Pure Mobile has it in an unlocked version. The option of choosing any phone I want and being able to have it unlocked is huge. I want to be able to use the carrier of my choice, without being tied to buying a phone from them. Just hand me my sim card and I will be ecstatic.
As Cole Porter would say, “Don’t Fence Me In”.
