Fulfilling a Dream in Alaska

I’ve never taken a cruise. I was scheduled to take one for my Honeymoon, but we ran into issues at the time and ended up Honeymooning in Key West. It was nice, but I still wanted my cruise. Unfortunately, I was unable to convince my ex to take the time off to take a cruise before our marriage ended.

My mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 1995. It is astonishing that she has reacted so well to the treatments and is still with us. We have been talking lately about how she has always wanted to go on an Alaska luxury cruise. She was admitted to the hospital over the weekend and it has made me and my sister talk more seriously about booking a cruise for the three of us – just the girls. So, I’ve been poking around on the TravelStore, Inc for some good rates and a time frame we can all fit into our schedules.

I suppose what we all find so compelling about an Alaskan cruise is that it will be so different from Florida. We live in one of the nation’s most popular vacation destinations, but it is home so the sights around here are pretty commonplace. I want to see whales, glaciers, and cool weather. The TravelStore says the best time to cruise in Alaska is May through September, but that June thru August is peak season so it will be more expensive. Looks like now is the time to plan.
