Why the Hype About Crocs?
Crocs are molded rubber shoes made in China. I assume they cost much less than a buck to manufacture, but since they are all the rage, they cost about $35 a pair.
I only bought my daughter a pair, because I found a brand new pair one size larger than her foot at a yard sale for $1, and they are pink – her absolute favorite color. She wore them to the Disney parks a couple of weekend ago and they were comfy on her feet and great when it started to rain. I saw every store in Disney has Crocs displays and people were going bonkers for them.
So, I began to wonder if there might be something behind the hype. I found a good sale on Crocs online at Dillard’s and ordered a pair for myself last week. They arrived yesterday. They JUST fit. Was I supposed to order them a size larger? And, they are not as comfy as people have told me they are. In fact, I prefer my Birks by far.
I think I will be going to Dillard’s tomorrow to return the Crocs. They just don’t seem worth it. So, all of you Croc lovers, why are they are your favorite shoes? I want to hear.
