Try the Cajun Zydeco Crawfish Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida this weekend.
If you love crawfish, you can count on about 10,000 pounds – so eat to your heart’s content and then work off the meal with some zydeco dancing (dancing lessons are available) and live music by Geno Delafose and French Rockin’ Boogie, Chubby Carrier and Bayou Swamp Band and other genre bands.
The festival started last night and goes through 8 p.m. Sunday at Vinoy Park, at Fifth Avenue NE and North Shore Drive, in St. Petersburg.
