Changed My Party Affiliation
It’s too late for this particular primary, but I finally got to the point where I cannot see the good of being registered as an independent in Florida. I was unable to vote in the presidential primary, despite the fact that I was quite caught up in the race, did a lot of research, and had solid opinions about who I would have voted for.
So, I have just sent in the paper work to change my affiliation. I am adding my ranks to one of the major political parties, though in my heart I remain 100% independent. I know changing now is not going to benefit me for a while, but this is a decision that will benefit me in the future as long as I live in a state that does not recognize the voices of the independent voters. Unfortunately, many states are like this.
