Humor in a Man is Sexy
We get a lot of surprisingly good shows that comes right here to a venue near my house. I used to take advantage of the location all the time and have seen such gems at Bernadette Peters, Art Garfunkel, a few 80s music revivals, lots and lots of the Florida Orchestra, and even George Carlin. Many Broadway series shows come here, but I have yet to pony up the cash.
One show that I wish I had the money to see is Martin Short’s one-man show. It’s coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall this weekend and I’d love to see it. The other big event at the venue this weekend is the massive Scientology celebration of L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday, but I can safely say I have no desire to attend that particular party.
Martin Short Ed Grimley, Jiminy Glick, Franck Eggelhoffer. Anyway you look at the guy, I find him irresistible, sexy even. When I was in my teens, I had a raging crush on Short. I think it is a true testament to just how attractive women find a man with a truly amazing sense of humor. If more men would focus on intellect and sharp with, instead of trips to the gym and loud posturing, they might find they get more dates. I’m just sayin’…
