For the Love of Wine

I’m not a regular drinker. When I do drink alcohol, though, I want it to be high-quality, flavorful, and worth my time and money. Since I am not someone who drinks simply to get drunk, but rather for the enjoyment of the actual beverage, I am always looking for the best of the best: be it wine, beer, or liquor.

We have a couple of good markets in the area that carry good wines, unique vintages. Of course, I think most people just buy their wine at the supermarket. I’m not saying you cannot fine a decent wine at Publix, but I am saying that if you are looking for excellent vintage wine or something to really expand your palette, you need to look a little farther.

Lucky for the average wine lover, the internet has turned out to be an excellent resource. Your reach and education can be expanded while you are comfortably seated in your comfy chair, with your laptop, and while enjoying a glass of your favorite wine. Sites like the New York Wine Company put vineyards, wines, recipes, and wine events in the spotlight so people like you and I can expand our knowledge base without ever leaving the house. You can order wine from nearly anywhere in the world, get input from other wine lovers, and even let people know what you thought of your latest bottle. Yep, the internet is a wine lover’s dream come true. Although, I still think that getting in the car and heading out to the local vineyards to explore on my own is exciting.
