I was feeling a little aimless the other night, and so I was online searching for answers to some of the more obscure questions rolling around in my head.

I came it the question of why do men find certain items of clothing sexy. When I think about it, I get confused. A man’s mind is just so much different from that of a female. I remember my ex husband used to say he wanted me to come to his office dressed only in a trench coat and red stiletto heels. On the other hand, I would just like to have seen him in a pair of blue jeans. He never would wear jeans, and they are what I happen to find sexy on a man.

Take for example body stockings. I do not think anyone looks good in a body stocking, no matter how great the body underneath happens to be. They make me think of the body stocking the players on the last two seasons of Big Brother have had to wear, or the base layer of the costumes the aliens on many science fictions shows are dressed into show their non-human natures. However, plug “body stocking” into a search engine and the first few hundred hits will be for fetish costumes or sex-related sites.

And what about long hair on women? Men tend to find that sexy. While I look good with long hair, some women just look like Crystal Gayle wannabes or cartoon witches, especially as they get older. When I would ask my ex about the long hair issue, he would not cite femininity as much as he would talk about that shampoo commercial with the overly-S&M themes where the man ties a woman’s long hair in a knot and yanks on it to demonstrate its strength. I found his motivation for liking long hair vaguely creepy.

I know What men find sexy, I just need to figure out Why.
