Albertson’s Liquidation
Many of you may know that Publix Supermarkets bought a good number of the Albertson’s stores in the south. The Albertson’s that are closing are in the process of liquidation right now. Of course, they put the prices on everything up as far as they could before they began.
Nonetheless, I picked up some cards and wrapping paper when they went to 60% off. I picked up more today at 80% off. I bought the last of the shampoo they had in a variety my daughter likes. It was only 40% off, but by the time the prices go down this Sunday, those items may be gone. 40% off is a good deal for toothpaste, deodorant, razor blades, acne cream, and first aid items – especially if you have manufacturer’s coupons (which I did).
Cosmetics are 50% off, so I picked up a couple of Max Factor items I wanted (the LipFinity rocks!) and used $2 off coupons.
Needless to say, I will be going back Sunday to see what I can find in cosmetics, fragrances, and toiletries once the prices go even lower.
The sad side of all this is that I always preferred Albertson’s to Publix. ?
